Who handles the damage or missing items claim?

All claims by customers must be handled by the moving company’s claims department and/or insurance claims adjuster. 

Unpakt expects all moving companies on its site to follow the Federal law of minimum liability of 60 cents per pound per article, in case additional insurance is not purchased by the customer. To learn more, check out FMCSA's Understanding Valuation and Insurance.

Please keep in mind, Unpakt may step in to help with mediate when claims are not processed in a timely manner. With that said we trust that you will work with the customer to ensure speedy closure of the claim.
